Key Responsibilities
As an EHS Officer at Air Products, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and environmental compliance of our projects and contractors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting EHS Assessments: Evaluate project delivery contractors for EHS qualifications.
- Designing EHS Campaigns: Enhance the EHS culture among employees and contractors through targeted campaigns.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze EHS performance data weekly and monthly.
- Emergency Planning: Develop and test emergency response plans for potential project and contractor site emergencies.
- Chemical and Waste Management: Review and implement chemical hygiene and hazardous waste management programs.
- Site Inspections: Inspect sites, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance with EHS systems.
- Incident Investigation: Determine root causes of incidents and develop preventive measures.

- Training Needs Identification: Ensure EHS training is conducted and documented as required.
- EHS Audits: Regularly audit contractor laydown yards and facilities for EHS compliance.
- Plant Shutdown Safety: Participate in major plant shutdowns to ensure safe project activities.
- EHS Procurement and Stock Management: Support the procurement process and manage EHS stock.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Delivery EHS Supervisor and/or Manager.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A recognized qualification in engineering or EHS from a college or university.
- At least 5 years of experience in projects, construction, oil and gas, or petrochemical industries in an EHS-related field.
- Knowledge of KSA EHS codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in English (both verbal and written); knowledge of Hindi, Urdu, and Arabic is advantageous.
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to build trust and confidence with all stakeholders.
- A self-motivated and flexible attitude, capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- A commitment to continuous self-development and the flexibility to work outside normal hours.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster an inclusive work environment.
