About the Role
HSE Inspector = 10 positions available
As a Safety Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our construction sites. You will be responsible for monitoring safety procedures, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your primary duties will include:
- Monitoring overall safety procedures, including equipment safety and professional clothing compliance.
- Conducting periodic maintenance and inspections of fire extinguishers.
- Ensuring site security and safety.
- Identifying potential unsafe working conditions and implementing corrective actions.
- Inspecting equipment, tools, and working conditions through a Competent Appointed Person (AP).
- Conducting periodical inspections of safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, lifting gear, and tools, and replacing those not meeting safety requirements.
- Observing crews at work and reporting any lack of discipline in safety precautions.
- Investigating accidents to determine causes and devising preventive measures.
- Instructing workers on the use of safety equipment and safe work methods.
- Performing other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Secondary school or industrial technical certificate and a basic/introductory health and safety qualification.
- More than 2 years of experience in construction.
- Membership in IOSH or an equivalent professional body (desirable).
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with local HSE codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
