Viewers, as you can see, I am currently viewing the advertisement on the screen. Before explaining how to apply and resolve the “CNIC already exists” issue, let me give you a brief overview of these jobs so that new viewers can also learn about them.
As you can see, the advertisement is slightly blurry. However, if you watch the complete video, all your concerns will be clarified.
With the approval of the Government of Punjab, the School Education Department, Punjab, is offering the services of School Teaching Interns (STIs) in schools for a limited period.
The position is commonly referred to as STI. Its full form is School Teacher Interns or School Teaching Interns.
Regarding the duration, you will serve as an STI in a government school from November 3, 2026, to May 31, 2027. This means November 3, 2026, will be your first day at school.
As for the age limit, men, women, and transgender candidates between the ages of 21 and 45 can apply for these jobs.
These jobs have been divided into three categories. The first category is Primary Level, the second is Elementary Level, and the third is High or Higher Secondary Level.
Similarly, the stipends for these positions have also been divided into different amounts. You can see the word “remuneration” mentioned here. You can call it an allowance or a stipend.
Since this is an internship, we cannot refer to the payment as a regular salary. Salaries are generally associated with contractual or permanent employment. This is an internship, so we will refer to the payment as a stipend rather than a salary.
If you are selected for the Primary Level, you will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 38,000.
If you are selected for the Elementary Level, you will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 40,000.
Similarly, if you are selected for the High or Higher Secondary Level, you will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 45,000.
Now, let us discuss the most important requirement: educational qualifications.
If you are applying for the Primary Level, your minimum educational qualification should be a BA or BSc.
Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree, such as a BA, BSc, or Associate Degree (ADP), but have not been able to find a job, can apply for Primary Level STI positions.
Similarly, if you want to apply for the Elementary Level, candidates with 14 years of education, such as a BA, BSc, or ADP, can apply. However, candidates with a master’s degree or 16 years of education will be given preference.
If a suitable candidate with a master’s degree is not available, candidates with a BA or BSc may be considered.
However, for the High or Higher Secondary Level, candidates must have at least 16 years of education in the relevant subject.
For example, if the position is STI Mathematics, you should have completed a BS in Mathematics or an MSc in Mathematics.
Similarly, if the position is STI Chemistry, your qualification should be in Chemistry. If it is STI Physics, your qualification should be in Physics.
For a Science Teacher position, you should have a master’s degree in a relevant science subject to apply for STI Science.
These are the basic requirements. We will discuss the remaining details as we proceed.
An important note is also mentioned in the advertisement. It states that candidates who have a B.Ed. or M.Ed. degree in addition to the required educational qualification for the relevant level will be given preference.
The word “preference” is clearly mentioned here. This does not mean that a B.Ed., M.Ed., or other professional degree is compulsory.
You can apply for these jobs with a BA, BSc, ADP, or a master’s-level qualification, depending on the position.
You may still be selected. However, candidates who hold a B.Ed., M.Ed., or another relevant professional degree will be given preference during the STI selection process.
Before explaining the application procedure, you can see that the advertisement clearly states that the last date to apply for STI jobs is October 18, 2026.
You can apply for STI jobs until midnight on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
Applications must be submitted online through the STI portal. You cannot submit your documents by post or by physically visiting a school.
Now, let us discuss how to apply and how to resolve the issues that some candidates are facing.
Before explaining the application procedure, please like this video, subscribe to Education Updates, and press the bell icon. This will help you receive all the latest updates about STI jobs on your mobile phone for free until the recruitment process is completed.
Viewers, as you can see, we are now on the STI portal. I will also provide the portal link in the video description.
You can see several options here. If you have time, you can explore them yourself. However, I want to explain a few important things.
Here, you can see the Home button, the Profile Builder button, and the Available Internships section, where you can view vacant job positions. There is also a View Profile option and a Track Application option. Once you have applied, you can use the latter to track your application status.
You can also find the STI policy here.
If you want to apply for STI jobs, the first thing you need to do is build your profile on the STI portal.
For example, when we applied for NTS jobs, we first had to visit the NTS portal and create a profile similar to a CV. After completing the profile, we could apply for the relevant positions.
Let me clarify one important point. When you build your profile, the available positions will be displayed according to your gender, tehsil, and union council.
For example, if you are male, the portal will show positions relevant to your profile. Similarly, if you are female, you will not be shown male positions. Only the vacancies relevant to your profile will be displayed.
Now, let me explain how to open and use the STI portal.
Simply open your browser. You can use any search engine, although most people use Google Chrome.
I have opened the browser. Now, type “STI PESRP” into the search bar and press Enter. Several links will appear.
The first result should be related to STI on the PESRP website. After checking the details, click the first link.
Once you click it, the official STI portal will open, as you can see on the screen.
If you are facing an issue and cannot find a solution, the department has also provided an official email address. You can contact them by email and explain your problem.
A helpline number is also provided. If you have any issue that you have repeatedly tried to resolve without success, you can contact the support team through the official email address or helpline number.
Viewers, as you can see, there are two buttons on the portal: Register and Sign In.
One of the most common problems reported by candidates is that when they click Register and try to create an account, they receive an error message stating, “Your CNIC number already exists.”
This means that an account has already been created using that CNIC number.
Let me explain why this may happen and how you can resolve it.
Previously, two phases of STI recruitment were announced: Phase One and Phase Two. Many candidates applied during those phases.
It is possible that you applied during an earlier phase. As a result, the portal may show that your account already exists.
If you receive the “CNIC number already exists” error, go to the Sign In or login page.
You may not remember your password, so look for the Forgot Password button and click it.
You will need to provide your email address, CNIC number, and any other requested information.
A password-reset link will be sent to the email address you used when registering your account. Open that email, click the link, and reset your password.
After resetting your password, enter your CNIC number and password, then click Sign In.
Your existing profile, which you created during Phase One or Phase Two, should open.
If you have completed an additional degree or diploma since then, you can update your profile accordingly.
Otherwise, the available internship positions in schools in your area should appear based on your existing profile, allowing you to apply for the relevant vacancies.
Once you log in to your account, the portal clearly instructs you to complete your profile first. After completing it, you can visit the Available Internships section to view vacant positions relevant to you.
I have already uploaded several videos explaining different aspects of the online application process. You can find their links in the information card. The most common issues arise while completing the Personal Information section.
In this section, you will need to select whether your area is urban or rural. Then, select your district and tehsil.
Based on this information, you will need to select your NA constituency, which refers to your National Assembly constituency and the area represented by your MNA.
After that, select your PP constituency, which is related to your Provincial Assembly constituency and the area represented by your MPA.
Enter the relevant NA and PP constituency numbers.
You will also need to provide your Union Council, Mauza or Town, and Village details.
Once you update your profile using this information, the available vacancies will be displayed accordingly in the Available Internships section.
Some candidates are also facing problems when uploading their documents. They report that the portal displays an error stating that their documents do not meet the requirements.
You can clearly read the requirements mentioned here.
If you are uploading your CNIC, both the front and back sides must be in JPG, JPEG, PNG, or PDF format. Each document file must not exceed 1 MB.
The maximum allowed file size is 1 MB.
When you scan your documents, the resulting file may be 5 MB or 6 MB in size. Naturally, such a file will not upload if it exceeds the permitted limit. You will need to resize or compress it to 1 MB or less.
Similarly, you must upload an additional photograph, preferably a passport-size picture. You can upload a suitable photograph, but it should not be a selfie.
Avoid uploading selfies taken with unusual facial expressions or tilted faces, as these may create an unprofessional impression.
The third document you need to upload is your CV or resume.
Your resume should contain all the relevant information on which you are building your STI profile.
If you do not have a resume, you can get one professionally designed by us at reasonable charges. To have your resume designed, contact us at the WhatsApp number provided.
After that, you need to attach your domicile certificate.
Many women move to their husbands’ homes after marriage and may not yet have a domicile certificate in their own name.
If you do not have your own domicile certificate, you can upload your husband’s domicile certificate here, as suggested in this video.
Next, click the Next button.
You will then need to add your educational records, any work experience you have, and any professional degrees you hold.
Once you have completed your profile, proceed to the Available Internships section.
You will see the Available Internships button. Click it to view vacant positions in nearby schools and apply for the relevant vacancies.
When I made my first video, I was able to apply for up to eight vacancies. You can apply for additional positions if you wish.
You can apply to as many nearby schools as you consider suitable. However, I recommend applying to schools located close to your home.
There is no application fee for this recruitment phase.
The reason is that a smaller number of vacancies has been announced in Phase Three. Phase One included 12,500 vacancies, and Phase Two also included 12,500 vacancies.
However, the current Phase Three recruitment has approximately 1,500 to 1,600 vacancies.
Many candidates may also face a situation in which they have completed their profiles but cannot see any available vacancies.
If you believe that your profile is complete and accurate and you have not made any mistakes, but no vacancies are displayed, it may mean that there are no vacant positions available in the schools in your area.
I have already uploaded a video explaining the online application process step by step. You can find its link in the information card. I will also try to provide the link in the video description.
If you have any questions regarding these STI jobs, feel free to ask in the comments section. I will guide you.
